Hello, everyone-- So I mentioned in August that Mom had 2 brain lesions -- most likely a result of the lung cancer she suffered last October.  Mom had radiation treatments and she was holding her own, that is, until the next bit of bad news.  Mom developed bone sarcoma (yes, that's bone cancer) in her right femur. She had radiation after the surgery and just after that, suffered a stroke. The cancer was just too virulent after that, moving rapidly from one organ to the next. Hello all!  :wave: Summer is my fav time of the year.  This weekend coming is forecasted to be in the upper 80s, lower 90s in NYC.  Yay!! Another chance to be a pool potato and let my rickety body soak up natural vitamin D. (Only this time I will not stupidly fall asleep and give myself sun poisoning - it's feast or famine, baby.) Hello all!  :wave: As some of you may have noticed, I have begun to post my latest Brooklyn Botanic Gardens photos.  I took some a couple of weeks before Cherry Blossom Festival and some during the weekend of the festival.  I really wanted to do a before & after shot of the Cherry Tree Esplanade, but although I have a great "before", the "after" shots I took are not so wonderful.  There were a gajillion people plus 10 there and it was very difficult to get a decent shot of the Cherry Tree Esplanade without someone's elbow, bag, butt or other body part or accoutrement getting in the frame.  It's not really interesting taking a pic of someone
